Privacy Policy

Effective date:

This Privacy Policy explains how Hillary B. Taylor, Attorney LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit hillarybtaylorattorney.com (the “Website”) or contact us through it.

1. Who we are

Hillary B. Taylor, Attorney LLC is a law practice focused on estate planning, probate, and asset protection, located at 2305 E. Aurora Rd. Suite A-1, Twinsburg, OH 44087. We are responsible for the personal information collected through this Website.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

When you fill out a form on the Website (for example, the Contact Us form, the “Get Quote” form, or the “Get In Touch” form on our service pages), we collect the information you choose to provide, such as:

  • your name;
  • your email address and phone number;
  • the subject of your inquiry; and
  • the message you write to us.

We also receive any information you send us directly by email or share with us by phone.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our web hosting and security providers automatically record basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you request, and the date and time of your visit. This information is used to deliver the Website, keep it secure, and diagnose problems.

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and we do not currently use analytics tools to build profiles of visitors.

3. Contacting us does not create an attorney–client relationship

Sending us a message through the Website, by email, or by phone does not create an attorney–client relationship. An attorney–client relationship is formed only after we have confirmed that we can represent you and have agreed to do so in writing.

Until then, please do not send confidential or sensitive information (such as account numbers, Social Security numbers, or details of a legal matter) through the Website’s forms. We will let you know the appropriate way to share that information once we are working together.

4. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • respond to your questions and requests, including requests for a consultation or quote;
  • check for conflicts of interest before agreeing to represent a client, as required by our professional obligations;
  • provide legal services if you become a client;
  • operate, maintain, and secure the Website, including protecting our forms from spam and abuse; and
  • comply with our legal and professional obligations.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we do not send marketing emails unless you have asked to receive them.

5. How we share your information

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share information only:

  • With service providers who help us run the Website and our practice – for example, our web hosting provider, our email provider, and Cloudflare (which provides the spam protection on our forms). They may use the information only to provide services to us.
  • When required by law – for example, to comply with a subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or with our obligations under the rules of professional conduct.
  • To protect rights and safety – where we believe it is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of our firm, our clients, or others.
  • With your consent or at your direction.

6. Cookies and third-party services

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. The Website itself does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Some features rely on outside services, which may receive your IP address or set their own cookies when you use them:

These providers handle information under their own privacy policies: Cloudflare (opens in a new tab) and Google, including YouTube and Maps (opens in a new tab). You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the Website will still work, although the contact forms may ask you to complete an extra check.

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. Because we do not track visitors across websites, we do not change how the Website works in response to these signals.

7. How long we keep information

We keep inquiries and related correspondence for as long as needed to respond to you and for our records, including conflict-checking. If you become a client, we keep client files for the period required by the rules of professional conduct and applicable law. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or store it securely.

8. How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections to the Website. No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security – which is another reason not to send confidential information through website forms.

9. Your choices and rights

You can contact us at any time to ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you;
  • correct information that is inaccurate; or
  • delete your information, unless we are required to keep it (for example, for client files or conflict-checking).

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under the law of your state. To make a request, email info@hillarybtaylorattorney.com or call (330) 933-9592. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we will not treat you differently for making a request.

10. Children’s privacy

The Website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them through the Website. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted on the Website.
